About Melissa Hartzel
I am a professional make-up/hair artist and beauty expert working in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, print, television and film. I am very passionate about my work and love to bring to life a directors or photographers vision using my creativity; from glamorous to character, period to high fashion.
Having attaended the Italia Conti theatre school as a child, Melissa’s original background is in acting & presenting. She is therefore very comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy making appearances on TV and at events as a make-up/beauty expert.
She has recently been part of the hit Channel 4 consumer series ‘Shop Secrets Tricks of the Trade’, in which she went undercover in an Essex beauty salon to investigate beauty industry scams. Other on screen credits include guest presenting beauty segments on some of the UK’s favourite shopping channels, as well as having the incredible opportunity of going undercover for E4 as a massage therapist in the hidden camera comedy prank show ‘iCon’. She has also worked as a spokesperson for brands such as Rimmel, NYX and Makebelieve.
Melissa is CRB checked, have public liability insurance and is a qualified make-up tutor (AET/PTTLS qualified).
