About Anton Yasko
Anton is Ukrainian/Russian descent based in Liverpool, a photographer and videographer with a passion for food & travel.
Recent modelling and acting projects include Clayface, A Town in Nova Scotia alongside Bill Nighy, This City Is Ours 2, Saviour, The Man Who Stole Portugal, Hollyoaks and Army of Shadows.
Other work includes playing a townsfolk character in Odd Squad, with multiple scenes and one scene in particular focused solely on me as the only person on camera; an LA bistro attendee in Hollyoaks; and a 1920s passerby in Hercule, filmed across three dates. Finally four days filming on Legacy of Spies, working alongside Charlie Hunnam and undertaking stand-in work for Adam Hugill.
More recently he spent two days filming on the Beatles biopic Clover, playing a photographer taking photographs of the four Beatles at a party in Liverpool Town Hall. Also completing two days on the crime drama DRTT, with a further 11 dates confirmed for Block 2, where he has a recurring role as a DC in a police office alongside Samantha Moreton. Anton also played a European Space Agency delegate in Mars Express You Are Here, as well as working alongside Mike Byrne in Dragon Slayers, Daddy Issues.
With such extensive experience both sides of the camera Anton has learned to take direction, adapt quickly and adjust to the different tempos and demands of each shooting day, understanding that no two days on set are the same.
Being able to observe experienced and established actors at close range has also been particularly beneficial. Watching how they approach scenes, use facial micro-expressions, respond to direction and conduct themselves both on and off set has given me him a great deal to learn from and incorporate into his own development as an actor.
Antons hobbies are as vast and diverse as yoga, cold plunges and metal detecting as well as a general passion for health and fitness. Hiking and wild camping are also ways he likes to disconnect from society and electronics and reconnect with himself.
