Sam Hiew

Sam has been a commercial model for 7 years and was lucky with her first booking playing a young woman holding the latest Nokia phone for a campaign released in Hong Kong. She was thrilled to learn that there was a life-sized standee of herself in the Nokia shop window in Causeway Bay.

A few years on and she have become a mum to a lovely mixed Asian Caucasian girl, Raphaella. They first worked together on a Dyson promo video for QVC when Raphaella was 1, where their job was to relax in the bedroom where Sam had to read her stories and sit with her while she played with the soft toys on set. One of her favourite jobs was when Raphaella was booked by Boden to shoot in Camber Sands beach, which meant they got to go away on a mum and daughter retreat to a charming Bed and Breakfast in beautiful Rye.

From then on, they have worked with Glaxo Smith Kline, Organix, Electric Jukebox and Reel Deal Family Stock Videos, where Raphaella was the deciding factor for the shoots they book, and now that they have a new family portfolio – her husband Jake, a British Caucasian, was also able to join her and Raphie in productions that required a real family. Family bookings have become her favourite because she get to spend time with her family and especially her favourite little girl in the whole world.
