About Lloyd McDonald
Lloyd McDonald is an experienced Black British commercial model and trained actor based in West Midlands, but with an additional London and Manchester base too. With engaging eyes and bright teeth, Lloyd has secured paid professional commercial/ lifestyle modelling work in print, social media, websites and billboards. He has worked with many brands in UK and Europe such as Samsung, Microsoft, My First Years, Panasonic, Lidl etc and been featured in a few TVCs and national campaigns. He has also walked in London Fashion Week in February 2022 for 3 fashion labels.
As a well-rounded and trained actor, speaking part in worldwide hit ‘Chal Mera Putt’ and critically acclaimed and Bafta winning Prime and BBC ‘TV programme Small Axe’, directed by Oscar winner Director Steve McQueen. Also featured in Netflix, ‘The Stranger’ and Sky One ‘Intergalatic’ as well as TVCs for Notch bracelet, Karacher K4 Pressure Washer and Lidl. Lead speaking roles in a theatre play ‘Those We Leave Behind ‘ and as Kamal- the therapist in ‘Girl On the Train’. Recent short film ‘Red Flag’, about domestic violence won 3 recognised awards in 2021: ‘BIFF’, ‘FIFF ‘and ‘Bright International Film Festival’ ! I am calm, funny, sensitive and a dad, so my typical acting stereotype is the ‘dad’ role.
Apart from being career-driven and strength focused actor, I like to think I’m a team player and flexible.
